1. Enhancing Member Engagement

  • Regular Communication: Establishing regular updates via email, SMS, and social
    media.
  • Events: Organising networking events, enriching seminars, and webinars on
    professional development.
  • Prayers: Having a strong prayer network, and allowing different generations to
    take turns leading our monthly prayer meetings.
  • Feedback Mechanism: Implementing regular surveys to gather feedback and
    understand alumni needs and preferences.

2. Strengthening Community and Relationships

  • Mentorship Programs: Pairing current students with alumni mentors to provide
    guidance and support.
  • Networking Opportunities: Creating platforms for alumni members to connect
    professionally, such as LinkedIn groups or dedicated networking groups.
  • Family-Friendly Activities: Organising family-oriented events at the state chapter level to foster community among alumni families.

3. Supporting Alumni Development

  • Career Services: Offering career counseling, job placement services, and
    CV/resume workshops.
  • Continuing Education: Partnering with educational institutions to provide
    discounted courses and certifications for alumni members.
  • Alumni Awards: Recognizing and celebrating notable achievements of alumni
    members through public acknowledgments and awards.

4. Financial Sustainability

  • Fundraising Campaigns: Launching fundraising campaigns and ideas to support
    alumni initiatives, alumni welfare, campus projects, and scholarships.
  • Alumni Contributions: Encouraging regular yearly due, donations, free-will gifts,
    and tithes from alumni members.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Developing partnerships with businesses for
    sponsorships and funding opportunities.
  • Transparent accountability: Routine updates on the state of the alumni
    fellowship account, credits, and expenditures/disbursements.

5. Building Strong Relationships with Campus Fellowship

  • Campus Collaboration: Working closely with our campus fellowship to stay
    connected and support current students.
  • Guest Lectures: Inviting alumni members to give online/physical guest lectures
    or to participate in panel discussions on campus.
  • Central Financial Support: Financial support to our campus fellowship will be
    streamlined and managed directly through the alumni fellowship.

6. Improving Communication Channels

  • Digital Platforms: Developing a comprehensive alumni database portal for
    updates, events, and networking.
  • Social Media Engagement: Utilising social media to keep alumni members
    informed and engaged.
  • Feedback Loop: Creating channels for alumni to provide input and suggestions
    regularly.

7. Supporting Community Outreach

  • Volunteer Opportunities: Organise community service projects at the state
    chapter level and encourage alumni participation.
  • Mission-Driven Projects: Support initiatives aligned with the NIFES mission, such as mission outreach, educational outreach, and health program outreach.
  • Testimonial Sharing: Highlighting alumni success stories and community
    contributions.

8. Maintaining Alumni Welfare

  • Health and Wellness Programs: Promoting and supporting alumni health and
    wellness through programs and resources.
  • Support Networks: Creating support networks for alumni members facing
    personal or professional challenges.
  • Alumni Assistance Fund: Establishing a welfare fund to assist/support alumni
    members, such as in weddings, unfortunate bereavements, severe unemployment, or critical health issues

9. Facilitating Smooth Transitions for New Graduate

  • Transition Programs: Offering programs to help recent graduates transition into
    the alumni community.
  • Alumni Ambassadors: Appointing alumni ambassadors to welcome and guide
    new alumni members.
  • Resource Kits: Providing resource kits with information about alumni benefits and services.
